VIKA received a Certificate of Appreciation for SWM and S&E designs from DC Deptartment of Environment. This award was mainly for Anacostia watershed projects.

Enclosed is a list of a few of the projects that VIKA, Inc. is responsible for the
Stormwater and Erosion and Sediment Control designs within the Anacostia River Watershed:

Southeast Federal Center is approximately 42 acres and is adjacent to the Washington Navy Yard. This project is currently under design and will include new Public Roadways that utilize innovative storm drain quality controls such as tree pit Bioretention and permeable sidewalk pavers. The preliminary building designs are looking into green roofs, Storm Filters, Sand filters, & Baysaver water quality facilities. The interim parking lots (to be utilized for the Nationals) in the Southeast Federal Center area are currently under design to include Bioretention areas and Storm Filters.

Arthur Capper/Carrollsburg Dwellings is a mixed use project of office, residential, public & senior housing, and retail that covers approximately 25 acres. The project is currently under construction and implements Bioretention areas, Storm Filters, and Sand filters.

20 M Street, SE is an office building that is near completion to include a sand filter and cistern to reuse the storm water for the buildings mechanical systems.

1015 Half Street, SE is an office building that has been permitted to include a Green Roof for Stormwater quality and to supplement the buildings mechanical systems.

Numerous projects that have been completed or that are currently under construction & under design in the Ft Linclon area utilize a wide range of Stormwater management facilities. These facilities include infiltration trenches, Regional and local Stormwater Management ponds, and Bioretention areas and Storm Filters.

All of these project include detailed Erosion and Sediment Control Plans to be implemented by the site contractor.
