JOHN F. AMATETTI, PE
Principal
John F. Amatetti is one of two the Founding Principals of VIKA, a land development consulting and engineering firm that provides land surveying, civil engineering, planning, landscape architecture/arboriculture, and land development consulting services. He has over 34 years of land development and civil engineering experience and extensive entitlement and engineering project experience throughout the Washington Metropolitan DC area. He is widely known for his knowledge and project experience in Arlington County, Fairfax County, the City of Alexandria, Loudoun County, and the District of Columbia. Mr. Amatetti is a veteran, having served in the United States Air Force Reserves, and is the former Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Engineers Surveyors Institute.
Since forming VIKA in 1980, Mr. Amatetti has been the Principal-in-Charge for Virginia and District of Columbia surveying and engineering projects. As President of VIKA, he is the firm’s Chief Executive Officer and has led the firm’s growth to an organization with two offices and over one hundred employees.
