26 VIKA Staff Members receive OSHA training in confined spaces
April 2010: Job safety and the safety of each and every VIKA employee are first and foremost. Safety on job sites is an integral part of our commitment. VIKA now has 26 staff members that have successfully completed OSHA confined space safety training. This important instruction has trained our staff in awareness of the hazards commonly found in confined spaces, including atmospheric hazards and physical hazards. Confined spaces include, but are not limited to underground vaults, tanks, storage bins, manholes, pits, silos, process vessels, and pipelines. VIKA’s staff understands the use and need for confined space permits and the basic emergency activities during a confined space emergency, including the hierarchy of rescue. |
