VIKA WINS TWO FAIRFAX COUNTY LAND CONSERVATION AWARDS
VIKA was awarded two 2016 Fairfax County Land Conservation Awards.
• Outstanding Engineering Firm — The Preserve at Westfield
The Outstanding Engineer Firm Award recognizes the outstanding efforts made by the Project Team in employing responsible land disturbance techniques and good construction practices to protect the properties and resources for Fairfax County.
• Tree Planting — Avalon Falls Church (previously known as Archstone at Hillwood Square)
The Land Conservation Award for Tree Planting is voted on by the Fairfax County Tree Commission and recognizes outstanding landscape planning and implementation achieved. In the Commission’s judgment, the tree canopy contributed by planting for the project exceeded the County’s requirements and will increase in appeal as it matures to complement the existing vegetation around the site. The Commission believes it is a valuable contribution that will benefit the Avalon Falls Church residents and the surrounding community.
VIKA is honored to partner with the development teams for these award-winning projects, as all nominated projects represent the best of the development industry.
