Principal Director
We are seeking a visionary Senior Project Engineer / Executive Associate to lead and transform our Jacksonville team's civil engineering and site development initiatives to grow this office to become the leader in the North Florida region. This is an Executive Associate Leadership Opportunity and is a rare opportunity to drive technological innovation, shape regional infrastructure strategies, and lead a growing engineering organization. This position will work in coordination with our 160+ personnel in our three other East Coast offices to help achieve this goal.
In addition to the leadership opportunity, we wish to engage with someone with substantial industry expertise and a proven track record in the management of civil engineering site development projects.
Exceptional Credentials
- BS or Advanced MS degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineering (PE) License with 10 to 15+ years of progressive, strategic engineering leadership experience
- Proven track record of organizational transformation and team building in a complex engineering environment
- Senior Project Management and this candidate should also be a practicing professional
Strategic Leadership Requirements
- Demonstrated success managing significant, mission-critical infrastructure and development portfolios
- Proven ability to develop and implement enterprise-wide technological and engineering strategies
- Executive-level experience in complex municipal and private-sector engineering collaboration
- Exceptional strategic planning and organizational development capabilities
Technical Mastery
- Comprehensive expertise in advanced computational modeling and predictive infrastructure design
- Deep understanding of emerging sustainability and resilience engineering practices
- Advanced technical knowledge of the Jacksonville and Florida area engineering codes and regulations
Key Responsibilities
This executive-level role requires strategic leadership and comprehensive project oversight:
- Direct and mentor an entire engineering team
- Coordinate with marketing initiatives and strategies
- Develop and implement comprehensive engineering strategies for complex site development projects
- Manage complex, multi-million-dollar projects from conceptual design through final implementation
- Lead various interdisciplinary teams, ensuring optimal cross-functional collaboration
- Develop and maintain critical client relationships and marketing coordination at executive levels
- Oversee comprehensive quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) processes
- Create sophisticated proposals, manage complex contracts, and develop strategic invoicing approaches
- Represent the organization in high-level technical and strategic discussions with clients and regulatory agencies
- Coordinate with other offices in joint engineering management initiatives
