Subsurface Utility Engineering

Completing the Picture

VIKA performs non-destructive utility designating and locating to help manage utility relocations and conflicts, and mitigate risks throughout the project life, from design through construction. A complex web of utilities, including power lines, telecommunications, water, wastewater pipelines, gas mains, and other underground and above-ground utilities and facilities can all exist on and along the frontage of a site. VIKA utilizes data from electromagnetic locators, ground penetrating radar (GRP), CCTV, and non-destructive vacuum evacuation techniques as depicted in the ASCE Standard 38-22 (Quality Levels - A and B) to provide a comprehensive understanding that can save money, improve safety, and help avoid construction issues.
