One Hawaii Groundbreaking Ceremony

VIKA Capitol attended the One Hawaii Groundbreaking Ceremony on August 20, 2024, for a new affordable apartment building located at 1 Hawaii Avenue, NE in the Fort Totten neighborhood, in Ward 5. VIKA Capitol is proud to be part of the team with Wesley Housing, Bonstra Haresign Architects, and Davis Construction in bringing new community in Ward 5.

One Hawaii Avenue, NE is a four-story, 70 units (70,349 sf),new construction affordable apartment building. Wesley Housing, a nonprofit affordable housing developer, plans to develop, own, and operate the building. The development will replace an existing, 34-unit residential building on a triangular site nestled between Hawaii Avenue NE, Rock Creek Church Road NW, and Allison Street NE. The multifamily community will feature highly anticipated amenities such as solar arrays, a community room, outdoor terrace, and playground, and will include 15 three-bedroom apartments for families.
