Project Landscape Designer

We are seeking an experienced Project Landscape Designer who is creative, driven and takes pride in technical precision and production quality. The successful candidate will work on a variety of land development projects as part of a multi-disciplined design team that includes civil engineers, planners, and landscape architects. Working closely with Senior staff in these (and other) disciplines, you will help lead CADD production efforts in the Landscape Architecture Department and play a key role in translating preliminary design concepts into accurate, high-quality entitlement and construction documents.
This is an in-office position based at our Tyson, Virginia office.

Your Impact
· Design Leadership: Work independently on landscape architecture projects while assisting Senior Project Landscape Architects, demonstrating good communication skills and intermediate-level design capabilities.
· Technical Excellence: Maintain proficiency in AutoCAD/LDD, PhotoShop, and SketchUp while preparing landscape architecture documents for assigned project phases and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.
· Client Relations: Attend client meetings, coordinate efforts with agencies and consultants, and demonstrate intermediate experience in landscape architecture planning and site design including specialized grading and planting expertise.
· Regulatory Knowledge: Apply intermediate knowledge of local, county, city, town, state, and federal approval processes across one or two jurisdictions while preparing conforming landscape architecture plans.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $75,000 – $85,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors, in accordance with applicable law.
