Ambassador Hotel

Jacksonville, FL
Restoration of an historic icon in downtown Jacksonville

Originally opened in 1923 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Ambassador Hotel is being renovated and revived as a downtown destination. First opened as apartments, the property was converted to a hotel after 20 years of use, before declining into disrepair decades later. VIKA provided the surveying and subsurface utility engineering that will transform this historic building and site into a 100+room boutique hotel with associated restaurant, cocktail bar and event space. The Ambassador Hotel is part of Gateway Jax’s current eight-block downtown redevelopment project, Pearl Square.
