United States Air Force Memorial

Adjacent to Arlington National Cemetery and overlooking the Pentagon, the United States Air Force Memorial honors the service and heritage of the men and women of the United States Air Force and its heritage organizations.
In addition to the highly visible soaring memorial spires, the 3-acre site has a central parade ground, statues representing the Air Force Honor Guard, a glass contemplation wall, two inscription walls, and ceremonial pathways and seating, as well parking and vehicular circulation. VIKA provided site engineering and planning services.
The site is actively used by 350,000 visitors yearly as well as hosting military ceremonies, weddings, funerals, weekly summer concerts with the United States Air Force Band, and other special events.
